Christmas Day 2008

Our Christmas Day was a quiet one spent at home with just our family. I have really come to enjoy the simple peace of being at home Christmas Day with my family. We could even stay in our jammies all day if we wanted to! We all had fun opening gifts and enjoying our new things, but the best part was just being together!
Don't you just love the picture of Taylor? He was one tired guy after all the morning excitement! :)

Christmas Eve

O.K., so I am a little behind with posting pictures, but here are some from Christmas Eve. The kids' Aunt Cassidy and cousin, Jayden, sent them some reindeer food to put out, so we ran out in the snow to sprinkle it around the front yard.
We usually let the kids open one gift Christmas Eve (new pajamas). Jaymon thought his new jammies made a good hat!
My brother, J.R. was able to come and spend the evening with us, which made it even more special. We all just love him!

Jaymon's 2nd Birthday

Our little boy, Jaymon, turned 2 years old in December. We didn't have a big party, but celebrated with our family and a few of his cousins (Ace, Crew, and Karis) and his Uncle Mike and Aunt Sicily. I made him a cake and we had pizza (his favorite food). It was fun to watch him blow out the candles and open presents by himself this year - and really get excited about it all. His favorite gifts were the ones he picked out himself at the store - a ball and a baby doll. For some reason, T.J. and Jaymon are obsessed with baby dolls right now! Anyway, it was a fun day to celebrate one of the cutest kids I have ever seen. I just love this little guy!

Taylie's Gymnastics Meet

Taylie took gymnastics this fall and wanted to compete in a meet, so we let her do an "In-house Meet" where each gymnast is judged according to a set of standards instead of being compared to each other. This way, everyone earns ribbons and a medal. Taylie did great and had a lot of fun. She received 3 first place ribbons for floor, beam, and vault, and a third place ribbon for bars. She earned a silver medal overall. It is fun to see her doing something she enjoys!

Winter Piano Recital

Taylie and Tylor have been taking piano lessons for about 3 years now and have gotten quite good. These are some pictures from their winter piano recital.

Basketball

Tylor and Coleton both played basketball this winter. Tylor did well and scored several points to help his team out. This was Coleton's first time playing, and he did a great job learning the rules and about how to work as a team. Both of them had a lot of fun!

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it is 2009 and another year has already come and gone. We just got back from our trip to visit with Taylor's side of the family in Utah for a few days and I am in the middle of 10 loads of laundry and a messy house, but I am excited for all this new year will bring and the many adventures it holds in store. I am grateful to have my family to share these experiences with. I will post some pictures of our holiday festivities after I get our house back under control and our bags unpacked, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and express my gratitude for all the wonderful people in our life!
